Starting of the visitation period of the Gorge of Samaria for 2023
Chania, Friday April 28th 2023 – The Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency (NECCA) would like to inform you that the Gorge of Samaria will open to the public, on Saturday, April 29th, only from Agia Roumeli (southern entrance) for the first 2 km of the path, until the resting area “Christos”, during the hours 07: 00 – 16:00. It is reminded that in any case, the visitors must exit the National Park by 18:00 at the latest.
From Monday May 01st, the Samaria National Park is expected to be accessible from both entrances for the entire route.
In the event that it is deemed appropriate, there will be a further update regarding the regulation of visitation, with a press release.
